ATLAS CERN Data Processing Group

Group leader of EP-ADP 2008-2021 (since 2022 deputy group leader), main group activities:

  • Phase-2 tracker layout, reconstruction software and simulation studies
  • ACTS common tracking software project for HL-LHC Phase-1/2 and FCC
  • Fast track simulation (Fastras), AtlFast-II and general simulation support
  • Core software developments towards Phase-1 software upgrades
  • Development of RUCIO distributed data management system
  • Development and operation of the ATLAS Tier-0 System
  • Beam backgrounds studies and radiation calculations for the upgrades
  • Database development and support
  • Combined performance work (tracking, b-tagging, jets and particle flow, luminosity...)
  • Participation in CERN team physics analysis activities
  • Applications of Machine Learning
